From Scratch

Well, after having some issues with the recent upgrade of Habari – and because I don’t have the time to dive into the code, check what the problem may be and fix it meself -, I just decided to start all over again. I was just gonna drop every table in the DB and forget about the “old” blog… but Ella suggested me to keep my posts if only to myself… Thanks again for the suggestion, Ella!

I thought of downloading the blog and keep and offline version, but then I thought of something which I think is even better: keep it online but move it to another subdomain. And that’s exactly what I did.

If you want to read me old blog, feel free to do so. The username is guest and the psswrd is 123123. If you read the last two posts, you might perceive my frustration.

For this blog, I’ll make a skin inspired on the old one. We’ll see how it turns out.

Hola, Juan! I think your solution is brilliant and having the new blog here keeps our blogrolls current without a blip. I can’t wait to see the new design you come up with, although where you’ll find the time is beyond me!

    Thanks, Ella.

I don’t think it’ll be that much I have to do since I can use the code of one of my skins and tweak it till I get the results I want. I’ll do it sometime next week.

It’s that tweaking part that never stops! :D

Ah, back to Sandbox, are you Juan? I did read your last couple of posts, and I’m sorry the old one went south on you. This one looks great! I like the colors; very unusual. I too will be interested to follow your tweaks. :)
    Congrats on the new one.

    Thank you, Muse.

Yeah, it’s a drag since I really like Habari. I just don’t understand how they do things. Maybe it just happened to me, but their plugins screw everything up… they’re maintained by the community and you would think they would make sure that the upgrades are compatible… guess they aren’t… Oh well.
